privacy statement:
"While you are browsing the
Web, the Web is browsing
you." Whoever said that first, the
point’s a valid one. I dislike spam and intrusions on privacy as much as
anyone and in that
vein, please note that watertravel.com does not
collect personal data, e-mail addresses, etc. However, we do keep track
of the
rise and fall of traffic in order to try to improve site performance.
This is done
through Google Analytics. It is used to
collect and evaluate data including IP (Internet Protocol) addresses,
ISP (Internet Service Provider), browser type, referring and exit
pages, time of visit, etc. This information tracks user movements
within the site to show which pages are being visited and for how long.
IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information,
however, and the information is collected only for statistical purposes.
Cookies:
Some business
associates, such as Google
AdSense and Venere.com,
do use cookies in conjunction with the ads they
place on this
website. However, I have no access to or control over those cookies,
nor access to the related information. "Interest-based" ads
are
not used, so user preferences are not tracked as far as I know and in
any case not used by watertravel.com.
Web Beacons:
A Web beacon
is a transparent graphic
image placed on a website to track the movements of visitors for
statistical or navigation purposes. Web beacons can be used to manage
the information collected by cookies, and if you have opted out of
cookies, your visit will be recorded as anonymous. I do not use web
beacons, but some advertisers may do so. I have no access to
information collected by third party web beacons.
Links: This
website
contains links to other sites. I'm not responsible for the privacy
practices of those other sites.
This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this
Web site.
